An example of how to use all you produce with solar. The grid tie inverters subtract out the nominal house usage and the excess solar goes into batteries that are used at night to run the furnace. See my prior videos on the furnace power measurements using the Watts Up Pro meter. The goal is to smartly use all we produce and to minimize the electric bill.

The smaller Windmax HY ARI wind turbines have undersized tails. This is true of many other turbines as well. This can cause them to have difficulty tracking turbulent wind conditions, common with rooftop situations or near trees. Some basic time-tested rules of thumb are applied for these turbines. You can also apply them to other turbines.
